About Me
Kristen is a family nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Kristen began her career in nursing in 2001 and has been a family nurse practitioner since 2008.
Kristen’s previous experience includes both acute / urgent and rural health care as well as many years of bedside nursing. She is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide array of conditions across the entire lifespan. Kristen’s years of nursing and life experiences have given her a window into challenges of addiction crisis; addiction touched her in her own family with the death of her brother.
Kristen’s interest in addiction medicine brought her to Sequoia MD because of her shared philosophy that patient relationships are the best way to begin the healing process. Kristen’s practice philosophy includes forging relationships with her patients to understand their health needs, foster trust, and partnership with patients to help them achieve their best self.
Fostering great relationships, creates trust, creating trust allows patients to find their inner courage to walk the path of recovery and handle life’s ups and downs.
Kristen was born and raised on the Sacramento Delta and is married with two children. She is an avid soccer fan and enjoys gardening and Yoga.
